About the author:
Dimitris Tsaloumas was born and raised on the island of Leros in the Dodecanese, Greece. For political reasons he emigrated to Australia and settled in Melbourne in 1952. His first bilingual book titled The Observatory was published by the University of Queensland Press in 1983 to wide acclaim. In 1988 he published an all-English collection titled Falcon Drinking continuing with more publications into the 1990s. The selection for this book and recording was made from the above two books. Melbourne musician Costas Tsicaderis wrote an original score to accompany the readings.
